Bob Hoy

President
Bob was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado, but moved to Baton Rouge at age of 3. He graduated high school from Istrouma H.S., Baton Rouge, in 1967, and L.S.U. in 1972, with a degree in Construction Technology ( now Construction Management ) with a strong background in Architecture and Interior Design.
Bob holds the position of Senior Estimator for Gliko Contracting & Estimating, Inc., since 1994. GCE is involved with residential and commercial construction and forensic investigation of buildings. Bob isrecognized by California Superior Courts as an Expert Witness, offering testimony regarding construction defects, standards of care of the industry, and cost associated with the building, the repair, or the reconstruction of structures.
Bob is a co-founder and officer of NOLAH, Inc., a California non-profit corporation, tasked with building affordable, energy efficient, low maintenance replacement housing in New Orleans, and other communities where the need exists. Bob is compiling and adapting efficient floor plans for the replacement market.
Bob has been active with the San Diego Chapter of the L.S.U Alumni as a founding member, for 24 years. He has served as all of the officer positions except Secretary and Treasurer, and have served several times as President, and as Crawfish Boil Committee Chairman.
Bob's leisure activities include cooking for family and friends, and groups of up to 200. He is in the process of compiling a collection of recipes of my favorite foods. Bob also enjoys attending sporting events at L.S.U, the Padres, the Soccers, and watching sports and movies on T.V. Bob is a member of the Ocelots, a support group at the San Diego Zoo.
Bob has one daughter, Caitlin, who currently lives in Arcata, Ca.

Steve Richter

Steve was Born Chicago, Illinois 1968. He moved to Monroe, La in 1970, Graduated River Oaks High Academy 1987.
Steve attended both Baylor University and LSU and graduated in 1992 (LSU) with a degree in Business-Finance. He also attained a Masters in International Business from United States International University in 1994, for which he traveled and studied various Asian Markets.
After school Steve worked as a Financial Planner (American Express 1994-1997) and currently owns and is the sole financial advisor for First Source Financial Advisory Services, a Registered Investment Advisory firm.
Steve obtained (CFP) Certified Financial Planner designation in 2000 post dating designations of both (ChFC) Chartered Financial Consultant and (CLU) Chartered Life Underwriter. He has 18 years experience in financial planning and currently is an (RIA) registered investment advisor operating under the dba of First Source Financial Advisory Services.
Steve's favorite activities include volunteer youth baseball, and attending kids various events as much as possible. He plays tennis, golf, backgammon, chess, and likes to kayak and scuba dive. He also collects rocks and coins.
Steve has 2 children, 10 and 8 years old, and has been married to Trisha Richter for 11 years.
Steve is also currently serving as our Assistant Treasurer.

Adrienne Spelyng

Adrienne grew up in Baton Rouge Louisiana and attended college throughout the state at UNO, Southeastern Louisiana University, and finally graduating from LSUMC in New Orleans in 1995 with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. Her family still resides in Baton Rouge. She moved to San Diego in 1995 after graduation and has been working at UCSD Medical Center as an Occupational Therapist since.
In 2005 Adrienne attained an advanced certification in Hand Therapy, which requires studying under a Certified Hand Therapist for 5000 hours and passing a difficult examination. She now works with complex shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand injuries being seen by the Hand and Microvascular, Trauma, and Plastic Surgeons. She has experience treating the most complex cases of amputations, replantations and degloving injuries. Adrienne is very passionate about intervening in people’s lives when they need help and watching them progress to more functional use of their arms.
Adrienne’s hobbies include working on her house, enjoying time with her friends, family and dog, Tiger- Lily, as well as traveling. She is also very passionate about LSU and is extremely excited about her Presidency this year.

Karen Brack

Karen became active in the LSU Alumni of San Diego since 1988 as a way to stay connected to people from Louisiana who share the same passion she has for LSU. Karen’s parents are LSU alumni and her passion for LSU started at a young age. Karen’s father had an active career in the US Air Force and she grew up in several different cities outside of Louisiana but landed at LSU for college. She graduated in Electrical Engineering and works in the Aerospace industry designing and testing circuit chips. Karen is on the advisory board of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department in the College of Engineering and recently served on the Forever LSU campaign. She has held several different offices in the local San Diego chapter and has attended every crawfish boil!
